GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

Each quarter, The Literary Review publishes a new theme issue. Forthcoming themes include: Machismo, (Winter 2010), How To Read Music (Spring 2010), The Best Team Money Could Buy (Summer 2010), and Refrigerator Mothers (Fall 2010). The themes are suggestive rather than prescriptive, and meant to be explored and developed by contributing writers in expansive, interesting ways.

Submissions to The Literary Review should be made electronically via Submission Manager. We welcome submissions in poetry, fiction, literary non-fiction, and work in translation for any of our forthcoming themes. We are especially interested in introducing writers from many nations to our readers. Please familiarize yourself with our magazine before submitting. Full issues are available for download on this website. No more than one story should be submitted at a time. Poets, please submit several poems for consideration, but no more than seven.

Editorial submissions can take anywhere from three months up to (worse case scenario) a year. For that we have no objection to multiple submissions as long as authors inform us when work is accepted elsewhere.

Authors of accepted work receive two copies of the issue their contribution appears in and a one-year subscription.
